Covered Delaware insurance plans cannot set yearly or lifetime caps on the number of chiropractic or physical therapy visits. This protection covers treatment of the spine and other nerve and muscle structures, including arms and legs. Chiropractors and physical therapists are entitled to payment for covered services they are legally authorized to provide. Medicaid also cannot impose these visit caps, to the extent federal requirements allow. Beginning January 1, 2027, the law applies to policies, contracts, and certificates issued, renewed, modified, altered, amended, or reissued.
