Some minor league players lose wage protections
The law removes Delaware’s minimum-wage and wage-hour recordkeeping protections for qualifying minor league baseball players. Players must have a contract to play minor league baseball and be paid under a collective bargaining agreement. That agreement must expressly set wages and working conditions. The exemption applies only when both conditions are met.
