Florida state workers keep current bargaining terms

Beginning July 1, 2026, the law sets rules for stalled mandatory bargaining issues between Florida and certified state-worker representatives. These rules apply only to 2026–2027 fiscal year issues not addressed by the General Appropriations Act. Those issues must be resolved using personnel rules in effect on May 26, 2026. The resolution must also keep existing conditions and preserve the current collective bargaining agreement's language. The law does not set a specific pay or benefit amount.
