Lasting privacy for minors seeking abortion waivers

Beginning October 1, 2025, Florida keeps identifying information about minors seeking court waivers of abortion parental notice or consent requirements confidential. This protection covers information held by circuit and appellate courts. It also covers the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel and the Justice Administrative Commission. The law removes the exemption’s scheduled October 2, 2025 repeal, so the privacy protection no longer has an expiration date.
