Health Providers Get a Shorter Repayment Window

Florida health insurers and health maintenance organizations have 12 months after payment to seek overpayments from covered providers, instead of 30 months. The rule covers providers licensed under chapters 458, 459, 460, 461, 466, or 490. It applies to services provided on or after January 1, 2026. The 12-month limit does not apply to claims against providers convicted of fraud; the law takes effect July 1, 2025.
