Stronger school snack rules for students

In Kentucky public schools, foods and drinks sold outside school breakfast and lunch must meet statewide nutrition rules. The Board uses the USDA Dietary Guidelines to set them. The rules cover serving size, sugar, and fat. Districts can choose stricter rules. If a school or district has a waiver, the Board reviews it every year.
