State halts Medicaid work-requirement waivers

The Cabinet for Health and Family Services must withdraw the waiver application it sent on June 25, 2025, and any others that would set a Medicaid community engagement (work) program. The law takes effect immediately, and the cabinet has five days to complete the withdrawal. This stops the state from using those waivers to add work or engagement rules to Medicaid coverage.
