Bill Overview

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 1 costs, 1 mixed.

Daily sewage limit for Sharon parcel

Sewage flow from the parcel cannot exceed 10,000 gallons per day. Any higher daily flow needs approval from the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority. This limit applies only to that Sharon parcel.

Sewer service allowed for Sharon parcel

The Massachusetts Water Resources Authority can provide sewer service to 313 and 317 Norwood Street and 5 Edge Hill Road in Sharon, through Norwood. Service begins only after the MWRA board votes to approve, makes required findings under its 1984 law, and all needed approvals are in place from Sharon, Norwood, state and local regulators, and the MWRA Advisory Board. The developer must pay an entrance fee to the authority. Sunrise Development, Inc., or its nominee, successor, or assignee, pays all engineering, design, and construction costs for the tie‑in, including supervision, labor, equipment, and materials. Once connected, the parcel is treated like in‑district properties for use and service rules.
