Cotuit can fund water-quality fixes on private land

The Cotuit Fire District board can recommend water work on private property. The owner must first give written approval. Any district money to do the work must be approved by a district vote. The goal is to protect and improve Cotuit’s drinking water. Homeowners can decide about work on their land, and renters may benefit from cleaner water.
