Westfield police hiring capped at 40

The law sets an age limit for new Westfield police officers. If you have reached your 40th birthday on the exam date, you cannot be certified for original appointment (placed on the hiring list). This applies only to original appointments and to exams given on or after the law takes effect. The law takes effect upon its passage.
