Haverhill adds health board members

The law increases Haverhill’s board of health from three to five members. The mayor appoints all members, and the city council must approve them. In January after the law takes effect, the mayor appoints one member for three years and another for two years. These initial terms start on the first Monday after February. After that, each new appointment is for three years. The act takes effect upon its passage.
