Acton police and firefighters can live farther

The law lets Acton raise the 15-mile residency limit for its police and firefighters. Any higher limit must be set in a union contract negotiated under chapter 150E. This applies only in Acton and overrides other laws that say otherwise. The act takes effect upon passage.
