Five new alcohol licenses in Palmer
The law lets Palmer issue five extra all‑alcohol licenses beyond the usual state cap. Three are for on‑site service (section 12): Tables at the Farm, 3092 Palmer St; Don Juans Cantina Palmer LLC, 1519 N. Main St; and Ernestina’s LLC, 2054 Bridge St. Two are for off‑site sales (section 15): Luke’s Beer and Wine, 1478 N. Main St; and Jane Alden Convenience Store, 1469 N. Main St. The town must issue these licenses within one year after the law takes effect.
Rules for new Palmer liquor licenses
On‑site service is allowed only in the dining room and any other public areas the town approves in writing. A license cannot move to a new address. The town may grant it to a new owner at the same address if the applicant files letters from the Department of Revenue and the Department of Unemployment Assistance showing good standing and that all taxes, fees, and contributions are paid. If a license ends or is not used, it must be returned; the town can reissue it at the same address within three years, or it dissolves. When an off‑premises all‑alcohol license is issued, the holder must give back any existing section 15 wine and malt license.
