Conway ends caucuses, nonpartisan ballots

Conway no longer uses party caucuses to pick town officer nominees. Candidates must file nomination papers to get on the ballot, following state rules. Ballots for regular and special town elections show no party names or marks next to candidates. This applies only in Conway and overrides any conflicting state or town rules. The law takes effect upon its passage.
