Billerica police age limit; veterans get extra years

This law sets an age limit for new Billerica police officers. You are not eligible if you are 40 or older on the exam date. Veterans can add their active-duty years, up to 4 years. No veteran can be older than 43 years and 364 days on the exam date. It applies only to original appointments in Billerica and overrides conflicting state rules.
