Property owners get fire-code violation alerts

Massachusetts' Department of Fire Services must collect records of written violation notices and fines under state fire laws and regulations. It must work with the Division of Occupational Licensure and authorized code enforcement officers. The department must maintain a public website database with automatic alerts for affected property owners and insurance companies. Records include failing to maintain hot-work training certification or performing hot work without it. They also include failures to meet hot-work permit requirements.
