More child care help for low-income families

The law adds $95,554,342 for child care for families served by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) or the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA). It also adds $94,015,214 for income‑eligible child care. The Department of Early Education and Care uses this money to support subsidized care for low‑income parents. These funds are in addition to earlier funding and are available through June 30, 2025. This supports lower child care costs or better access for eligible families.

Extra funding for education and transportation

The law provides extra money for education and transportation programs listed in section 2. The funding is on top of earlier amounts and is available through June 30, 2025. Agencies must follow this act’s rules and public‑fund laws when spending it. This supports ongoing services for students and riders.
