Cash payout, pension, and health coverage for Rachel Troy

The Boston Retirement Board pays Rachel Marie Troy a one-time cash sum equal to all retirement deductions Mathew M. Troy paid in. She also gets a yearly accidental death pension equal to 72% of the higher of two numbers: his pay rate on the injury date or his average pay for the 12 months before his death. She can keep medical insurance like the coverage he would have had if he retired from the City of Boston. These benefits are provided under the state accidental death rules.
