Beginning July 1, 2026, the Maryland Transportation Authority can issue up to $5 billion in toll-backed bonds. The $5 billion limit is reduced by any federal TIFIA loan and by amounts drawn on a TIFIA line of credit. The cap is checked each year on June 30.
