The law takes effect on July 1, 2026. Agencies start the new disclosure duties on that date.
Starting July 1, 2026, you can view online, for free, financial disclosure statements filed on or after January 1, 2019. This covers state officials and candidates in the Executive and Legislative branches, and Executive branch department secretaries. The site does not show a filer’s home address or certain payment details the law shields.
Starting July 1, 2026, the courts run the financial disclosure system for judges and judicial candidates. The Commission on Judicial Disabilities, the Judicial Ethics Committee, or another court‑chosen body advises on these filings. The Administrative Office of the Courts, or a designee, runs related procedures. The Supreme Court also sets rules that require covered judicial officials to file periodic public financial statements.
Starting July 1, 2026, the court’s office (or its designee) keeps judicial disclosure records. The public can examine and copy these statements during normal office hours. The Supreme Court or its designee no longer sends copies to the State Ethics Commission within 30 days.
