Anne Arundel tax credit for preserved land

Anne Arundel County can grant a credit against the county property tax. The credit can cover land in a state or county agricultural land preservation program. It also can cover land in a Rural Legacy Area if the owner sold the property's development rights under the Rural Legacy Program. The county must pass a local law to set the credit amount and rules. The law takes effect June 1, 2026 and applies to tax years that start on or after July 1, 2026.
