Rules and costs for small event center license

Beginning July 1, 2026, only small event centers in Prince George’s County can get this license. The center must run per event or on a limited schedule, seat 75–110 people, and have kitchen and dining space. Your dining and kitchen equipment must cost or be worth at least $350,000, not counting land, buildings, or leases. You must have food available during event hours. The Board can issue up to 24 licenses each year, with no more than 3 in any State legislative district at one time. The annual license fee is $3,500.

New alcohol license for small event centers

Beginning July 1, 2026, Prince George’s County creates a Class B-SEC license for small event centers. The County Board of License Commissioners issues the license. It lets you sell beer, wine, and liquor for on-site drinking during events at the licensed center. Sales follow the same hours and days as Class B licenses and must meet county use and occupancy rules.
