Well-being training for Maryland school staff

Starting July 1, 2026, the Maryland State Department of Education offers a well-being course for educators. It must be available to all school staff and administrators by July 1, 2027. The Department may build the course or use a third-party course. It can be live or self-paced online. The Department provides it only if free or at a cost comparable to similar courses it buys. Course price must match similar PD courses with the same number of professional development points. Content covers eight areas: social, environmental, physical, emotional, spiritual, occupational, intellectual, and financial well-being. This law ends June 30, 2031.
