Beginning January 1, 2026, Maryland Medicaid covers home blood pressure monitoring for eligible members. Members qualify if pregnant, postpartum, or diagnosed with chronic kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, or cardiometabolic disease. Covered monitors must be validated for accuracy and listed in the U.S. Blood Pressure Validated Device Listing. Coverage pays for provider and staff time for training, sending, reviewing and reporting readings, remote monitoring, and related care, including education. Coverage is subject to state budget limits and federal law.
