More wine festival licenses in Prince George’s County

Beginning July 1, 2026, Prince George’s County offers a wine festival license with no yearly cap. The Board can pick multiple festival weekends each year (Friday through Sunday). Eligible holders are retail, Class 3 winery, or Class 4 limited winery licensees. The license allows on- and off-premises wine sales during festival hours, but wine must be distributed in Maryland when you apply. Dates cannot be within 14 days before or after the Maryland Wine Festival in Carroll County or conflict with Anne Arundel, Calvert, Charles, or Howard County festivals. The Board must choose a site that is not already licensed and keep the focus on promoting Maryland wine. Wine must be invoiced by a licensed wholesaler or winery, with delivery up to 2 days before and returns within 2 days after the license period. The Board sets the license fee and adopts rules.
