Higher pay and limits for Workers' Comp Commission

Beginning July 1, 2026, each member’s salary is at least the salary for a District Court judge set in the State budget. The Chair’s salary is at least the Chief Judge of the District Court’s salary. Members are entitled to travel reimbursements under the State’s standard travel rules, as provided in the State budget. Except for that salary and travel pay, members cannot receive extra fees or perks for their official duties.

New stipends for chief and admin judges

Beginning July 1, 2026, the Chief Judge of the Appellate Court and administrative judges for the circuit or District Court can receive an annual stipend on top of salary. The law does not list the stipend amount.
