More Maryland lawyers can advise election boards

Local election boards can hire or keep a lawyer who is a registered Maryland voter and admitted to practice in Maryland. The old rule that the lawyer had to be a voter of the same county is removed. The law takes effect the day it is enacted, so the new rule applies right away.
