Narrower eligibility for childhood cancer grants

Beginning April 28, 2026, Maryland limits grants from the Pediatric Cancer Fund’s remaining money to nonprofit hospitals, educational institutions, and other nonprofit organizations. Grants must support childhood cancer research. Individuals no longer qualify, and physicians and laboratories are no longer separate eligible categories. The change sets no grant amounts and does not directly change household benefits or costs.
