This emergency law takes effect immediately. If you live in an HOA, condo, or co-op, you can display candidate signs and signs for or against ballot questions on your property. Your association cannot ban or limit these signs on your property, except: in common areas; to follow federal, State, or local law; or by setting time limits. If no local law sets dates, any time limit must allow at least 45 days before early voting starts (or 45 days before the election or vote if there is no early voting) and 7 days after the election or vote.
