New beer and wine licenses for Harford health clubs

Beginning July 1, 2026, Harford County offers two Class HC beer-and-wine licenses for health clubs. To qualify, the club must sell health club services, have a pool or pickleball courts, have at least 150 paying members, and own or lease property in the county. A 6-day license allows sales Monday through Saturday; a 7-day license allows sales Monday through Sunday. Sales are limited to a bar area at a swimming pool or an indoor lounge, for on-premises drinking only. Both licenses allow sales from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Alcohol rules limited to Harford County

Beginning July 1, 2026, these alcoholic beverage licensing rules apply only in Harford County. They do not apply outside the county. This clarifies where the county’s licensing and rules take effect.
