Beginning October 1, 2026, the law replaces the Calvert Memorial Hospital name with CalvertHealth Medical Center, Inc., and its successors. Calvert County commissioners may provide county money to the center or any successor organization. Funding is optional, and the commissioners decide the amount. The law sets no dollar amount and guarantees no change in hospital services.
