Suspension and appeal rules for WSSC employees

Beginning October 1, 2026, the Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission can suspend an employee for discipline for up to 30 days total in a calendar year. All disciplinary suspensions are without pay. A suspended employee can appeal to the Maryland Office of Administrative Hearings. The Office reviews the case and issues a decision, including after a hearing.
