Grants for West North Avenue community groups

Beginning 2026-10-01, the West North Avenue Development Authority provides technical help and small grants to local groups in the West North Avenue Corridor (600–3200 blocks plus a 250-yard buffer). Grants can fund block parties and festivals; outreach like newsletters and digital posts; stipends, refreshments, space rentals, and materials; operating support; green or gathering spaces; training and hiring community organizers; and help with grant applications. The Authority can set aside up to $150,000 each year from existing funds for these grants. Groups must plan and carry out activities with corridor residents, and residents should lead when possible.

Faster blight removal in Baltimore City

Beginning 2026-10-01, the Continuing the CORE Partnership Fund supports faster removal of blighted property in Baltimore City. The Department of Housing and Community Development uses the fund and works with the Maryland Stadium Authority, the West North Avenue Development Authority, and Baltimore City.
