Tuition help for Maryland correctional officers

Beginning July 1, 2026, Maryland offers tuition help to current and future correctional officers. You must be a Maryland resident or a Maryland high school graduate. You must be accepted or enrolled full- or part-time at a Maryland public university, community college, or qualifying certificate program. You must sign a letter promising to work as a correctional officer for at least 5 years within 8 years after graduation. If you do not finish the program or do not complete the service time, you must repay the scholarship.
