Public can search elevator safety records

Beginning October 1, 2026, the Maryland Department of Labor posts a searchable online list of active elevator inspection certificates. You can search by street address, city, or county. It shows active certificates that allow an elevator to operate. This adds public access and does not change inspection standards. Certificates must still be posted in or on each elevator.
