More Marylanders can expunge no finding cases

Beginning October 1, 2026, you can ask a Maryland court to expunge certain police, court, and state or local records when your case ended with a “no finding” or was “terminated without finding.” It applies to offenses listed in §10-110(a)(1), (2), or (3) of Maryland law (certain listed misdemeanors, some listed felonies, and related attempts or conspiracies). You must file a petition and list the facts. Clearing these records can help with jobs and housing.
