Public employee pension transfer study extended

The State Retirement Agency continues a workgroup to study moving service credit between State and local pension systems. The report is due October 1, 2026, to the Governor, the Senate Budget and Taxation Committee, the House Appropriations Committee, and the Joint Committee on Pensions. The law takes effect June 1, 2025, and ends June 30, 2027. A related chapter also states a start date of June 1, 2026. This changes timing and reporting only and does not change pension benefits or taxes.
