Charles County training for condo and HOA boards

Beginning October 1, 2026, condo and HOA governing-body members in Charles County must complete a training on their duties. Finish within 90 days after your first election or appointment. If you were in office on October 1, 2025, finish within 90 days after you start your next term. The training must use a curriculum from a State- or locally recognized Common Ownership Commission, or an organization it approves. Your board must certify completion, keep your certificate, and report it to the Commission within 90 days. Certificates last 3 years; if you stay in office after it expires, you must retake the course. If you do not complete the training, the board may remove you or invalidate your vote.
