Anne Arundel alcohol license for salons and barbershops

Beginning July 1, 2026, Anne Arundel County creates a beer, wine, and liquor license for barbershops and beauty salons. Owners must already hold a barbershop or beauty salon permit. The license lets you serve on-site during a visit: up to 12 oz of beer, 5 oz of wine by the glass, or 1.7 oz of liquor. Service is only while the customer gets a barbering or cosmetology service, or during a fundraising event. You may serve during normal business hours, but never after 9:00 p.m., and you do not need a separate Sunday license. The annual license fee is $100.
