New Class A license limits by district

Beginning July 1, 2026, Cecil County caps Class A alcohol licenses at 1 for every 2,000 registered voters, or a major fraction. The cap is figured and applied for each election district. The Board must issue at least two Class A licenses in every district. Only Class A licenses count toward this cap; other license types do not. This replaces the prior 1-per-1,200-voters rule.
