Grants for advanced manufacturing businesses

The law creates a grant program at TEDCO to grow regenerative medicine and other advanced manufacturing companies. TEDCO sets who can apply, how to apply, and award amounts, and consults the Maryland Stem Cell Research Commission for regenerative medicine items. A special fund holds State budget money, interest, and other money for grants and program costs. Interest earned stays in the fund instead of the General Fund. The program starts July 1, 2026.

Grant funds limited to space and equipment

Grant recipients can spend money only on space, infrastructure, or equipment for regenerative medicine or other advanced manufacturing. Other uses are not allowed. This rule starts July 1, 2026.
