Caroline County sets alcohol inspector and pay

Beginning July 1, 2026, the alcohol inspector can be the county codes administrator or a person the Board appoints. The Board must spell out the inspector’s duties, including running and enforcing county alcohol laws. The inspector’s salary is paid from the county budget; the law does not set the amount. These changes apply only in Caroline County.
