24/7 crisis help in every county
The state runs crisis support in all 16 counties. Services include crisis care in hospital emergency rooms. Mobile teams and outreach bring help to people outside the hospital. A community crisis hotline operates 24/7 and works with 9-8-8. 9-8-8 is the national, free, confidential lifeline for suicide and mental health crises.
Older crisis law is repealed
The law repeals 34-B MRSA §3621. Any duties or powers in that section no longer apply. The repeal text does not add funding or new program details.
