No fronting for group workers' comp
The law repeals rules that let group self-insured employers use “fronting” for workers’ comp. Employer members of a group self-insurer can no longer insure employees through a fronting arrangement. They must provide coverage using other methods allowed under Maine law. This may change who is listed as the insurer for some employees. Approved March 18, 2025.
