Bringing 112 grams or more of cocaine into Maine is a Class A crime. Bringing 32 grams or more of cocaine base is also a Class A crime. These thresholds apply when the import is illegal.
The law sets the main cocaine threshold at more than 14 grams. Cases under this rule use that amount to decide charges and penalties. The law also removes a second clause from the same section. These changes apply to people charged with cocaine possession in Maine.
