Pilot engineering help for working waterfronts
The state provides a one-time $150,000 General Fund appropriation in fiscal year 2026-27 to the University of Maine System. The money funds a pilot Working Waterfront Infrastructure Engineer Corps. The corps provides engineering, planning, and permitting help to restore and protect Maine’s working waterfronts and other vulnerable infrastructure.
