Drivers get emergency contact space on registrations

The law requires a blank space on the back of vehicle registration cards for an emergency contact’s legal name and address. You can write a contact there; it is optional. The Secretary of State issues the new cards when it replaces its current stock. There is no fixed date for the switch.
