Emergency contact space on car registration

The law adds a blank space on the back of Maine vehicle registration certificates. You may write the legal name and address of an emergency contact. Filling it in is optional, but it helps first responders reach someone after a crash. The Secretary of State starts issuing the new form when the state replaces its stock of registration certificates.
