Health care providers get insurer negotiator contacts
Health insurance carriers must share more details when they offer you a preferred provider contract and you ask. They must give the fee schedule, or how they set pay if no schedule. They must list all carriers you would serve under the contract. They must also give contact info for the employee who negotiates all terms: job title, phone, and email. Carriers must keep this contact info current on their provider portal or send updates by electronic notice. A carrier may require a nondisclosure agreement for the shared payment information.
