Maine can issue $205 million for courts
The state can issue up to $205 million in securities at any one time to fund court projects. Money can pay to plan, buy, build, renovate, furnish, equip, expand, and consolidate judicial buildings. Work covers Androscoggin, Cumberland, Franklin, Hancock, Penobscot, Sagadahoc, and Somerset counties. It also funds planning for other court sites. This authority overrides the usual cap on such borrowing for these projects.
