Higher fee cap for Maine auctioneers

The law raises Maine’s auctioneer fee cap from $200 to $300 per year for each authorized purpose. The Director of the Office of Professional and Occupational Regulation sets actual fees by rule. Fees must be reasonable and necessary for purposes allowed under the auctioneer licensing law. The law does not automatically raise fees, and no fee can exceed the new annual cap for its purpose.
